New Zealand
International Ju Jitsu Representatives
The NZ Black Tops is the name given to international representatives from this
country, and selection and representation as a Black Top is considered by SJJ(NZ)
to be a competitor's highest honour.
New Zealand has had a proud history of representation at both WCJJO and ISJA
World Ju-Jitsu Games, but only since 2000 has New Zealand been represented by
competitors who have truly been tested and shown to be the best this country can
offer. The results speak for themselves: the NZ Black Tops have been the most
successful of any teams at World Games level to date.
Athletes selected by SJJNZ to represent New Zealand at World Games or other
international level are eligible to wear the SJJNZ International Representative
badge following such representation. International representatives prior to the
formation of SJJNZ in 1999 may be recognised with adequate supporting evidence.
